Chemical Face Peels

Chemical face peels are specialised chemical solutions, carefully applied to the skin to remove the damaged outer layers.

The chemicals used are different medical acids, which each have a different purpose. After a full medical consultation and skin assessment, the practitioner will adjust the strengths and content of the peel to meet your specific needs. We only uses top quality skincare products and chemical peel systems including ZO, and Enerpeel.

An individual maintenance programme will be prescribed to keep your skin in the best possible condition which includes medical skincare and sun damage Using ZO and Heliocare.

Light chemical peel (eg. Glycolic, Salicylic, Easyphytic etc.)
Light chemical peels are excellent for treating uneven pigment, dryness, acne or fine wrinkling. Light peels remove only the outer layer of skin (epidermis) in a light exfoliation, resulting in a healthier glow. These treatments tend to be delivered as a course over a number of weeks to achieve the desired results. An individual maintenance programme will then be prescribed to keep your skin in the best possible condition.

Medium chemical peel (15 – 20% TCA, eg. Easy TCA)
Acne scars, deeper wrinkles, uneven skin colour / texture and severe sun damage can all be treated with a medium chemical peel. This will remove skin cells from both the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and upper part of the middle layer of skin (dermis). These treatments may be prescribed as part of a course or as a maintenance after deeper peels. They are excellent in safely treating most skin complaints and can achieve even better results than some deep peels or laser treatments which may have more risks associated.

All patients require specific skincare and sun protection before and after these peels.

Deep chemical peel (> 23% TCA eg. Unideep Peel, Obagi Blue Peel)
Deep chemical peels are highly specialised and must only be carried out my qualified, experienced doctors. Miss Chantrey has many years of experience working in Wound Healing Research and Tissue Regeneration as well as using these products in the Cosmetic Surgery industry.
