Spending too much time in the sun without adequate protection can lead to permanent sun damage to the skin. This is because the ultraviolet light (UV) from the sun can slowly affect your skin over time. Your skin can begin to lose elasticity, tone and definition which can result in fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. At ØNE aesthetic studiø, we have various treatments available to minimise the appearance of sun damaged skin.
The price of sun damaged skin treatments can vary, as each procedure carries different costs. The most popular treatments are a chemical peel or the mesotherapy. The starting price for a chemical peel is £225. Mesotherapy treatment starts from £175.
Dr Chantrey has worked in cosmetic surgery skin regeneration for a number of years. Her extensive knowledge and expertise has attracted patients from across the globe. She offers a variety of treatments to cater for every patient’s individual needs.
Juvederm Volite® – This hyaluronic acid-based product can help to reverse the signs of ageing, such as damage caused by the sun and smoking. Small amounts of the product are injected into the face to provide deep hydration, holding moisture under the skin. The result is beautiful, healthy-looking skin with a natural glow. Having this 2 to 3 times per year helps to maintain the wonderful results.
Mesotherapy – This sun damaged skin treatment is recommended by Dr Chantrey for those who want to revitalise their skin’s natural radiance. It involves multiple micro-injections of a vitamin and hyaluronic acid mix underneath the skin’s surface. This stimulates collagen production while improving elasticity, replacing essential vitamins and minerals that are often lost through ageing.
ULTRAcel FRM – Also used as INTRAcel treatment, FRM treatment encourages the skin to produce collagen and create better elasticity of the skin. The treatment works by combining microneedling with radiofrequency to target the skin cells below the surface of the skin.
Dr Chantrey can combine her treatment of mesotherapy with customised peels to keep the skin highly conditioned. A regular course of treatment includes sessions every week for 4-5 weeks, then every month for 2-3 months. After this, maintenance every 3-6 months will keep the skin looking rejuvenated.
Chemical peels – Chemical peels are a well-known sun damaged skin treatment, which uses specialised chemical solutions to remove the outer layer of the skin. There are varying peels, from light to deep, depending on the severity of the problem. Due to the fact they are highly specialised, chemical peels should only ever be carried out by a qualified, experienced doctor.
Dr Chantrey only uses superior quality skin care products and chemical peels including Obagi, Filorga and Skintech. Results can differ, and patients will be prescribed an individual maintenance programme to keep your skin at its best.
If you have skin that is damaged from too much time in the sun, then you are the ideal candidate. Fine lines, wrinkle, dark spots and age spots can all be treated with the help of Dr Chantrey and her experienced team.
As with any non-surgical procedure, there are some risks with treatment for sun damage. Common complaints with injections such as Juvederm Hydrate® and Mesotherapy include:

There are different risks associated with a chemical peel as this penetrates deeply into the skin. The deeper the peel, the higher the risks. Issues such as crusting, bleeding, prolonged reddening of the skin and discolouration are all potential risks with a deep chemical peel. All risks, and how they will be resolved if they do occur, will be discussed during your consultation.
